INCTR Founder and Active Members are responsible for the election of the members of the Governing Council and other Active Members, and have final responsibility for the Statutes.

The Founder Members of the INCTR are the UICC (represented by Dr Louis Denis) and the Institut Pasteur (represented by Dr Jean Content and Mr Louis Schoofs).

Associate Members may be individuals, corporations, institutions and organizations such as professional societies or associations that pay a membership fee.
